Town Agencies Marketplace & visibility

How do I control my visibility on Town Agencies?

You control whether other lawyers see you as available for agency work from your Town Agencies preferences, with per-court rules if you need them.

  1. Open the Town Agencies page and click Preferences in the sidebar (gear icon, below the view list).
  2. Toggle the master Available for Town Agencies switch. Turning this off makes you invisible everywhere.
  3. Set your default visibility to Visible or Anonymous.
  4. Add court-specific rules if you want to override your default for particular courts.

Other lawyers searching for cover then see you, or don’t, according to those rules.

Visibility levels
  • Visible: your name and firm are shown to requesters and in real-time update notifications.
  • Anonymous: you appear as an available helper, but other users see “A user” instead of your name in listings and real-time updates.
  • Auto-Accept (court rules only): matching requests at that court are accepted on your behalf automatically, filtered by the request types you tick.
Firm members

If you belong to a firm, you’ll also see a Firm Listing setting with four options: Listed individually + via firm (the default), Via firm only, Listed individually only, or Hidden. This controls whether you appear by name, as part of your firm’s listing, both, or neither.

Limits and reminders

You can set a per-appearance limit to cap how many requests you accept at a given court on a single day. Under Notifications, you can turn on Pre-court reminders to get email or in-app reminders the evening before an accepted request.
