When the court publishes a list for one room and hears it in another, every matter you had in that room is filed under a courtroom nobody sat in. You can move them all at once rather than editing each court date.
On the desktop
On the Today or Week column, each court card has a Heard in a different courtroom? button beside the room. It opens a drawer listing your matters in that room that day; type the room you actually sat in and click Move listings.
On the phone
Tap the magistrate line on a sitting to open Who’s sitting?, then Sat in a different courtroom? under The room. Type the room and tap Move listings.
What moves with them
- Every court date of yours in that court, room and day gets the new room, and your diary entries are updated.
- Your magistrate vote for the old room carries across, so the bench that actually heard you gets the credit, and the magistrate on each matter is re-read for the new room unless a scanned file note already named one.
- The published list still names the old room, so Acquit notes that you have seen the difference. The sync badge stays green instead of asking you to move back.
Only your own court dates move. Next dates already recorded from that sitting keep the room written on the file note, because that is where the court said the matter goes next.
What the Today card shows afterwards
The Matches card is the published list, so it keeps the room the court published. Once your listings are moved, its header adds heard in Court 19 and names the magistrate for that room, and each row’s sync badge stays green rather than asking you to move back.
Tip: If you are recording outcomes by scanning file notes, correct the Courtroom in the review step instead and each matter moves as it is saved.
