Calendar & Court Dates Smart matching & AI

What are uncertain matches in the calendar wizard?

An uncertain match is a calendar event that matched a court location (like "Beenleigh") but also mentions a non-court venue in the same subject: for example "Beenleigh DPP", "Southport registry", or "Brisbane chambers". These are real legal events, but they’re usually not court appearances before a judge.

The wizard flags these in a dedicated section after the unrecognised-abbreviation rows. Each row shows three options:

  • It’s at {suggested venue}: captures the event at the qualifier venue (e.g. "Beenleigh DPP" rather than "Beenleigh Magistrates Court"). Picking this also helps other users: your choice is recorded anonymously so suggestions get smarter for everyone over time.
  • It’s at {matched court}: leaves the event matched to the court location. Pick this if you really do mean the court. Sometimes an event at the Magistrates Court is labelled with a qualifier for other reasons.
  • Dismiss (×): hides the event as not a court event. The event stays in your calendar but is removed from Acquit’s court-date list.

Uncertain matches appear whenever the wizard detects a venue qualifier (DPP, registry, chambers, Legal Aid, etc.) in the event subject.
