You connect Microsoft Outlook to Acquit from Settings → Calendar Sync, and court dates then sync automatically. Calendar sync works with Microsoft Outlook only. Google and Apple calendars aren’t supported; let us know via support if you need one of them.
- Go to Settings → Calendar Sync from the sidebar.
- Click the Connect button next to Calendar Provider.
- Choose Outlook Calendar from the popup.
- Sign in to your Microsoft account and grant Acquit permission to access your calendar.
- Run the setup wizard that appears after connecting. It detects your calendar pattern and suggests mappings automatically.
Two-way sync is on by default from the moment you connect: court dates you add in Acquit are written to your Outlook calendar, and changes flow both ways. You can turn it off any time on the same page.
Using a shared firm diary
Sign in with the account that owns the diary (e.g. admin@yourfirm), then pick it under Synced calendar in the Connection section. Acquit reads court dates from, and writes back to, whichever calendar you choose; the account’s default calendar is used unless you change it.
Changing the synced calendar re-scans the new one, and existing court dates are kept. Read-only calendars (like Birthdays) can’t be selected, because two-way sync needs write access.
Note: An active subscription is required, and Acquit only accesses events that appear to be court appearances.
