Firm Management Ownership & departures

How do I dissolve my firm?

Only the firm owner can dissolve a firm. If there are co-owners, all must approve before the dissolution can proceed.

  1. Open the Firm Console and go to Settings.
  2. Scroll to the bottom and click Dissolve Firm.
  3. Review the impact summary showing how many members, clients, and delegations will be affected.
  4. If co-owners exist, they will receive a notification to approve or reject the dissolution (they have 7 days).
  5. Once all co-owners approve (or if there are no co-owners), click Execute Dissolution and type DISSOLVE to confirm.

All members are released with their data, the firm subscription is cancelled, delegations are revoked, and the firm ceases to exist. Each member receives an email notification.

Important: Any unassigned clients must be reassigned to a member first; the dissolution screen blocks you and links you to reassign them.
