These badges mean Acquit found your saved court date in the published law list. In law list confirms the matter is listed; Differences found means the published court room or time doesn’t match what you saved.
Badges appear on the court date’s detail drawer, in the client’s schedule, and in the This week list on your home dashboard.
Badge colours
- Green: your saved court date matches the published listing, including the court and room.
- Amber: the matter matched, but the saved court room or time differs from the law list. Rooms are often reallocated the day before a sitting.
- Grey: the details differ and you chose to keep your own. The badge stays so you can see the matter is still listed.
An amber or grey badge confirms the matter appears in the list, not that the details themselves are verified.
Fixing differences
In compact views (schedule, This week), hover or tap the amber Differences found badge to see the changes and click Fix differences. The detail drawer shows an inline panel listing each change, the law-list value next to your saved value, with two actions:
- Update to match law list: copies the law-list room and time onto your court date and its synced calendar event in one step.
- Ignore: keeps your details and dismisses the warning everywhere. If the list changes again later, Acquit flags it once more; undo any time with Review again.
Missing rooms
If your saved court date has no room at all, that is a gap rather than a difference. Acquit fills it (and the court level) from the listing when you open the court date, and sends the room to your Outlook entry. A room you entered yourself is never overwritten; it becomes a difference for you to reconcile.
When the check runs
The comparison runs once the law list for that date is published, usually the day before the sitting.
Which magistrate is shown
The judge or magistrate on a court date comes from the law-list listing for that room, so a client listed in two rooms on the same day shows each room’s own officer. Where there is a single listing and its room differs from your saved one, that listing’s officer still shows.
