For indictable matters served with an Index to Brief, click Import index on the client’s Disclosure tab and upload the QPS QP 0541 Index to Brief.
Acquit reads the witness and exhibit tables, including scans with no text layer, in about 15 seconds. Nothing is saved until you press save: the review step shows every row it read, outstanding first, so you can check it against the paper.
How rows are classified
Anything whose Attached column says N, or is left blank, comes in as outstanding. A blank cell is how an unattached statement usually appears, and treating it as received would hide exactly what you are looking for.
Hand-added items are kept if you later remove an imported index.
Tip: reading a scanned index uses AI document processing; if it is switched off, turn on Documents at Settings › AI or add the items by hand.
