Firm Management Members & joining

How do I invite someone to my firm?

Anyone in a firm can invite a colleague from Invite your team in the sidebar. Owners, co-owners, admins and the Firm Account can also do it from the console.

  1. Open the Firm Console and go to the Members tab (or click Invite your team in the sidebar from anywhere).
  2. Click Invite member at the top right, next to the search box.
  3. Enter the person’s email address and select their role (Member or Admin).
  4. Click Send Invite.

The invitee receives an email with a link to accept: existing Acquit users log in and accept, and new users complete a short registration (email and firm name pre-filled) and join automatically.

Note: Only owners and co-owners can invite someone as an Admin; any member can invite a Member.

If you aren’t in a firm yet

That first invite is what creates one: there’s no separate “create a firm” step. Send the invite and we set the firm up, with you as its admin and your existing clients visible to everyone you add. You can rename the firm or transfer the admin role at any time. If your firm is already on Acquit, we’ll ask them to add you instead of starting a second one.

Pending invites and join requests

Invites expire after 7 days. While one is outstanding, a Pending Invites card appears above the members list with Resend and Revoke actions. If someone has requested to join your firm, their request also appears on the Members tab: click Accept and they’ll receive an email to complete their sign-up.
