Open the event from your schedule, the calendar or the matter’s Case Timeline. On an entry that is a phone call, the drawer carries a phone row under the date and time: click the number to dial it, or use the copy button beside it to put it on your clipboard for a desk handset.
The row appears on entries whose type reads as a call, such as Telephone Conference or Telephone/Video Consultation. A conference you are attending in person does not get one.
Which number it shows
Normally the number on the client’s file, marked on file. If you have written a different number into the event’s notes or location, that one wins instead and is marked on this event, so a “ring him on 0400 111 222” note is what you get rather than the file’s usual number.
Anything the file records alongside the number stays visible, so a phone saved as “0438 073 028 (Kelly)” still tells you whose handset answers. The copy button hands over just the number, without that note.
When no row appears
Either the client has no phone number on file, or the entry does not read as a call. Add a phone number on the client’s record, or put the number in the event’s notes.
