How do I print file notes for a court day?

Print a QR-stamped file note for each matter you’re appearing on, mark it up by hand at court, then upload the finished sheets to Record Outcomes. Print from any of three places:

  • One matter: open the court date in the detail drawer on the Manage Client page, click More actions, then Print File Note. On a Brisbane callover sitting, Print File Note with Coversheet sits directly under it.
  • A whole day: open Print File Notes from the + menu, pick the court date, then tick matters, whole courts or a whole solicitor’s list. It shows every matter listed that day across your firm, grouped by the solicitor with carriage, and each matter has an Add instructions box that prints on the sheet. Courts that take a callover coversheet are labelled, and the arrow beside the print button offers a with-coversheet print for them. Sheets for a colleague’s matter carry a Solicitor with carriage tag naming the owner and their contact.
  • A Town Agencies request: click the overflow menu on the preview panel and choose Print File Notes. One sheet prints per client.
Filling in the sheet at court

Tick the boxes (appearance type, bail result, warrant, what the next date is for, whether appearance is required) and handwrite the next date, magistrate, due dates and notes. The sheet has separate BOE due and Disclosure due date cells, plus a Disclosure ordered line for what the court ordered; Acquit reads that line too.

Under the next date sit a Number cell for the courtroom and a Location (if different) cell for the court itself. Leave Location blank when the matter stays put; when it moves, write the town (“Ipswich”) rather than the full name. The sheet has one next-date row: extra listings are added in the review step after upload.

Trials

The file note is a mention sheet, so trials are left out: the picker does not list them and the court date drawer does not offer the print.

What happens to the photos

Photos exist only so you can check Acquit’s reading against your handwriting. Each is deleted the moment you Save all to system; an unfinished batch is deleted after seven days. Keep the paper sheet if your file needs it.

Tip: Point your phone camera at a printed sheet’s QR to capture a single matter; a note you’ve already accepted is detected and skipped, so you can’t double-book a date.
