Calendar & Court Dates Court dates & events

How do I save a court date to the firm's shared diary?

Use the Save to field when adding a court date or event: it lets you choose between your own calendar and the firm’s shared diary.

  1. Add a court date or court event as usual.
  2. Choose My calendar or Firm diary in the Save to field of the create drawer.
  3. Save.

The entry lands in the firm diary calendar in Outlook but stays your matter on your record, and editing or deleting it later keeps the firm diary in sync.

Setting a default

In SettingsCalendar, “Default for court dates” and “Default for events” pick where each type goes automatically: for example, court dates to the firm diary but events (conferences, prison visits) to your own calendar. You can still override per entry.

When the Save to field doesn’t appear

It only appears once your firm has connected and designated a diary. An owner, co-owner or admin sets that up in Firm ConsoleFirm diary. As a sole practitioner you don’t need it: your own calendar is already your diary.
