Both settings live in Settings → Event defaults, and they save the moment you change them. They control how new court dates and events appear once they sync to your Outlook calendar.
- Default reminder: the reminder lead time pre-filled on every new court date and event (e.g. 15 minutes before, 1 hour before, or no reminder). You can still change it on any individual entry.
- Show timed events as: whether timed entries block out your calendar as Busy, Tentative or Free. All-day entries (such as deadlines) always show as Free so they don’t make your whole day look booked.
Overriding a single entry
Each create and edit drawer has its own Show as picker when two-way sync is on, pre-filled from these defaults. Use it to mark a conference as Busy but a quick mention as Free.
Note: these settings only affect how events appear on a connected Outlook calendar, though you can set them before connecting.
