Tools Offence lookup (GOAT)

Is the GOAT tool from georgecriminallawyers.com.au still available?

Yes, it moved here. The free GOAT offence lookup that used to live at georgecriminallawyers.com.au/goat is now at acquit.app/goat (old bookmarks redirect automatically). No login is needed.

The page carries the offence lookup, by quick search or step-by-step manual search, across every Queensland criminal offence. The old TORUM penalty checker is part of the same search now rather than a separate form. Traffic offences show their licence disqualification, work licence eligibility and interlock requirements per prior-offence scenario.

Beside it are the reference guides: the Supreme & District and Magistrates Courts criminal benchbooks, the QPS Operational Procedures Manual, and the DPP Director’s Guidelines. Unlike the old static copies, these are refreshed automatically from the courts’ and Queensland Government’s current publications. The current Queensland and Commonwealth penalty units and the offender levy show alongside them. Dollar figures beside “penalty units” in a result use the rate for that offence’s jurisdiction, so Commonwealth offences convert at the Commonwealth rate, not the Queensland one.

The other tools from the old GOAT page (judges’ associates contacts, drug schedule limits and more) now live inside Acquit, along with much more. See all features or start a free trial.
