Archive a client from their profile page with Archive, and restore them from the Archived tab. Archiving removes them from your active list without deleting any data.
Archive a single client
- Open the client and click Archive on their profile page.
- Pick how the matter ended: Guilty - Sentenced, Not Guilty, Charges Dismissed, and so on, with Other covering anything unusual.
- Add any details worth keeping (optional), then click Archive.
A final status is required: the Archive button stays greyed out until you pick one. It feeds the Case Outcomes section of Insights and means the file explains itself when you come back to it.
Archive several at once
- Hover over a client row to reveal its checkbox, and tick one or more clients.
- Click Archive on the action pill that appears at the bottom of the page.
- Pick the final status (applied to every selected client) and confirm whether to keep receiving court-list matches for them.
Tip: to keep checkboxes permanently visible, open the three-dot menu in the top-right of the Clients page and choose Show checkboxes.
Restore an archived client
- Switch to the Archived tab on the Clients page.
- Select the client(s) and click Restore on the action pill, or open a single archived client’s profile and click Restore there.
Court-list matching after archiving
Archiving stops court-list matching for that client by default: Acquit stops checking their name against the daily lists entirely, rather than checking and staying quiet. Leave Alerts on when you archive, or switch it on later from the archived client’s card, to keep watching the lists for them.
