The Lexon EMR Audit tool gathers everything you need for the bi-monthly file review into one place: a data sheet for each file pre-filled from your matters, plus the official blank Lexon form to complete.
- Open the tool one of two ways: from Tools in the sidebar, choose Lexon EMR Audit; or on the Clients page, open the three-dot menu in the top-right and click Lexon Audit.
- Review the four files Acquit picks at random from your current clients. Each row shows the client name and file number.
- Adjust the selection if you like: click the swap icon to replace a file with another at random, the × to remove one, type a name in Add a specific file to choose a particular client, or Shuffle 4 to draw a fresh set.
- Click Generate Audit Pack. A clean data sheet opens in a new tab, one page per file.
Each data sheet comes pre-filled with the file number, client, file author and the current review period, and pulls in what Acquit already knows to help you answer the questions: a Critical Dates & Diary section (the matter’s court dates and task due dates) and a Communication & Activity section (the file’s timeline). You can print or save the data sheets for your records.
Completing the Lexon form
From the buttons at the top of the pack, download the official Lexon form for your practice type. There are two: Paperless Practice and Paper Practice. Open it in Word, type your answers straight in using the data sheet as your reference, then use Save As to keep a copy against each file.
The same forms are listed on the Tools → Lexon EMR Audit page under Official Lexon forms. Each practice type shows the Current year, with earlier years tucked under a Previous years dropdown. The rest of the EMR pack (the FAQ, Guide, Log and Program Terms) is listed below that under Additional documents.
Tip: Files opened more than nine months ago are flagged on the data sheet, since the review can be limited to the last three months.
