Partly. The scan starts without AI: it counts how often unrecognised shorthand appears in your recent events and checks the shared pool of abbreviations other Acquit users have already mapped. Only what is still unresolved is sent to the AI for a suggested meaning.
- Click Re-scan calendar for new shorthand in the Calendar Pattern card on Settings → Calendar recognition.
- Wait while the button shows “Scanning…”.
- Review the suggestions, each with a Community or AI badge showing where the pre-fill came from.
AI-sourced suggestions are always editable: change the full name, swap the category, or dismiss before saving.
Note: Community wins on conflict; when other users already agree on a meaning, the AI doesn’t overwrite it.
