Tasks

How do I mark a task as complete?

Open the task and click Complete.

  1. Click the task to open its detail drawer.
  2. Click the Complete button to mark it as done.

The task moves to the Completed section on the Tasks page, grouped by the date it was finished. If the task is linked to a client, a drawer appears asking whether you want to update the client’s matter status.

Completing several tasks at once
  1. Hover over a task row to reveal its selection checkbox, then tick the tasks you want to complete.
  2. Click Mark Complete on the action pill that appears at the bottom of the page.

The same pill can change Priority or Status for the selected tasks, or Delete them.

Recording a milestone

When you complete a task linked to a client, the completion drawer shows a Record as milestone toggle, off by default. Turn it on and a title field appears. If Acquit recognises the task as a milestone (e.g. “Send submissions”), the title is pre-filled with a suggestion like “Submissions Filed” that you can edit.

Submit the drawer with the toggle on and the milestone is added to the client’s Case Timeline. Leave it off and nothing is recorded.

Undoing a completed task

Find the task in the Completed section and click Undo. The task returns to your active list.

Note: All status changes are recorded in the task’s history, so you always have a full audit trail.
