Calendar & Court Dates Find time

How do I find a clear week for a trial?

Pick Multi-day… on the duration chip group in Find time and enter the number of days the trial needs. Find time slides a window of that many consecutive weekdays across the date range and returns windows where every day is feasible for a trial.

A day is “trial-feasible” when:

  • It has at least 5 hours uninterrupted available (no events, court, or Town Agencies items breaking it up).
  • It doesn’t already have a Trial, Sentence, or all-day court entry.
  • It’s a weekday: trial windows skip weekends in the count.

Windows that span a weekend slide forward to the next clear five-weekday run. If you’ve filtered by court, windows where one of the days is already at that court get a small score bonus.

Tip: If nothing comes back, the usual cause is a contested matter (Trial or Sentence) parked inside the window: widen the date range or check what’s blocking via the Agenda view.
