Calendar & Court Dates Find time

How do I find a free day to list a sentence, trial, or video conference?

The Find time quick action on the calendar suggests days where you have enough space to list a new appearance. It doesn’t book anything: it shows you the cleanest options so you can take a date to the bench or your client without flipping through weeks of calendar.

  1. Go to the Calendar page and click Find time in the toolbar.
  2. Pick the duration: 30 min, 1 hour, 2 hours, Half day, Full day, or Multi-day for trials.
  3. Optionally narrow by court, time of day (morning or afternoon), and the date window (defaults to the next 12 weeks).
  4. Click Find times.

Acquit returns up to 8 ranked rows, each showing the date, a tag (Free, Mentions, At court, etc.) and a one-line explanation.

Reading the results

Free days rank first, then days where you’re already at the same court, then days that are otherwise light, then days with a clear morning or afternoon block.

Click a row to peek at what’s already on that day; a Back to results link returns you to the list with everything you’d entered still in place.

Note: Find time treats tasks as soft signals: a day with a few hours of queued tasks still shows up, with a small warning so you know to push them or knock them out.
