Account & Security

Can I switch between two accounts without signing out?

Yes. The account switcher keeps up to 5 accounts signed in to the same browser and lets you move between them instantly, with no signing out and back in each time. It’s built for people who hold more than one Acquit login, such as a principal’s personal account plus the firm’s console account.

Adding an account
  1. Click your name at the bottom of the sidebar (or the user icon in the top bar).
  2. Choose Add account. You’ll land on the sign-in page with an Add an account note confirming your current session stays signed in.
  3. Sign in to the other account as normal, including its two-factor step. Every account you add proves its own password and 2FA. There are no shortcuts, by design.
Switching and removing

Open the same menu and click an account under Switch to. The switch is instant, and each account keeps its own session, so switching never signs anything out. Click the × next to an account to sign just that one out of the browser.

Signing out

When more than one account is signed in, the menu’s sign-out link becomes Sign out of all accounts, and it does exactly that: every account in this browser is signed out together.

When a switch asks you to sign in again

Occasionally a switch asks you to sign that account in again. That happens when its session ended in the background: the account’s password was changed, it reached its own session limit, or it went unused in this browser for more than 7 days. Sign back in through Add account and it returns to the list.
